In ancient Rome, where the Tiber flowed,
A man of eloquence arose,
With wisdom, wit, and words bestowed,
His name was Cicero.
A pleader, politician, sage,
In Rome's Republic, he took the stage,
His voice resounded through the age,
The wise Cicero.
Oh, Cicero, Cicero,
In Senate halls your voice would flow,
For freedom's cause, you struck the blow,
Mighty Cicero.
He fought against the tyrant's hand,
Defending Rome's fair, hallowed land,
His speeches, fiery and grand,
Great orator Cicero.
Against Catiline's conspiracy,
He stood for Rome's integrity,
With words that echoed through the sea,
A victory for Cicero.
Oh, Cicero, Cicero,
In Senate halls your voice would flow,
For freedom's cause, you struck the blow,
Mighty Cicero.
Philosopher and lawyer too,
With pen in hand, his thoughts he drew,
On nature, gods, and ethics true,
The learned Cicero.
Yet, as the years wore on, his fate,
Was sealed by enmity and hate,
His life, the price of his debate,
The fall of Cicero.
Oh, Cicero, Cicero,
In Senate halls your voice would flow,
For freedom's cause, you struck the blow,
Mighty Cicero.
To the orator's last breath,
He stood for Rome, till met by death,
His name, forever etched in myth,
The legacy of Cicero.
Now the Tiber flows, as ages pass,
The Roman Empire gone at last,
But still his name and deeds hold fast,
Immortal Cicero.
Oh, Cicero, Cicero,
In Senate halls your voice would flow,
For freedom's cause, you struck the blow,
Mighty Cicero.
