Eyes Wide in Wonder

Updated: 6 days ago

In the gaze of a child, the world anew,

Every little thing a mystery to pursue.

With eyes wide in wonder, and heart so pure,

Each day a canvas, each moment an allure.

Through their laughter, the mundane turns profound,

In their questions, life’s complexities unwound.

With each step, a journey through fascination,

Every discovery, a joyful celebration.

In their innocence, a mirror to our past,

A reminder that not all must fade, not all can last.

Their boundless curiosity, a gift so Divine,

Teaching us to seek, in the ordinary, a sign.

Yet as years pass, this wonder often fades,

Buried under life’s responsibilities and shades.

But through their eyes, we see once more,

The beauty and mystery we used to adore.

Parenthood, a chance to learn anew,

To marvel at the sky’s endless blue.

In their world, we find our own curiosity,

A path back to our lost simplicity.

So let us hold tight to this precious guide,

And in their wonder, forever reside.

For in their innocent embrace, we find,

The joy and wonder we left behind.
