Book Review | Cribsheet

Greg McNeilly

CRIBSHEET: a data-driven guide to better, more relaxed parenting, from birth to preschool |  Emily Oster, Penguin Books, p322.

An award-winning economist, Emily Oster tackles mountains of data and research to distill the sloppy conclusions from the solid. She boils down the science with great clarity on topics like:

  • Breastfeeding

  • Sleep training

  • Discipline

  • Potty Training

  • Screen Time

  • Early milestones

  • Stay-at-home parenting

  • Sleep positions

  • Vaccinations

While Cribsheet reminds me of Nurture Shock, it is evidence-based and only focuses on the early years.

This paperback is highly recommended for any new parent or those with infants and toddlers.
