I awoke in sunlight's luminosity,
Harsh, without remorse, erasing shadows,
Amidst the expanse of my meadow,
Life's enlightened field of acuity.
Arising to engage, construct and build,
A days chores, tasks and labors form function,
Applying the known creates production,
This done in rout as my natural wergild.
Startling, jarring a seismic shift indeed,
Causing all to crack and my plinth to bleed,
Sending into my being a jerid,
Splintering mind and laying bare heart's lead.
Certitude gone, laid barren with dusk's start,
Murky current beckons, descending ghat,
Submersed below cloud ladden skies, no more smart,
Wonderment and amazed within my wat.
Waking blerry eyed, like within the releam of Zen,
Seeing small, understanding less at days begin,
Abets ease, preventing calls of the male hen,
Without my Father, a child once again.
